Rachel? Ever notice the "barrel" vs "gallon" shell game when bp minimizes leaks by using the (barrel) estimate to sound less than... but when they talk about how much they are 'collecting' they use (gallon) measurements to make it sound greater than.' You got caught up in their smoke and mirror campaign on your show tonight when you cited the numbers in barrels, but you meant gallons.

I respectfully suggest you and everyone else in the world agree to refer to every estimate from bp from now on using the standard in 'gallons' period... this to stop the intentional and unintentional spread of mis-information (which imo is being used in a bp confusion campaign. I'm sure there is an interoffice memo somewhere stating just such an approach by bp's powerful PR arm)
